Great Brisbane Bike Ride May 15 2016

The Great Brisbane Bike Ride (including the Coot-tha Challenge) is the feature event of Bike Week, an annual week-long celebration of cycling.

This year we thought that Parkinson's Pedallers should put in a team and participate in this event.

There are three distances:  110 km, 75 km and 40 km.

Let's do the 40 km.

It is an easier, flatter “Sights of Brisbane” tour.  Initially following the same route as the longer riders,  through South Brisbane, across the Gateway Bridge and along the Inner City Bypass, we then divert away from the 75km and 110km riders at Suncorp Stadium (rest stop), then continue along the river to UQ at St Lucia before returning to West End along the traditional river route.

Sign up now... contact Alan:  0404 013 599  alan@parkinsonspedallers.net

We need a minimum of 10 to make up a team.

Team entries are now open.  The rider must be able to maintain a minimum overall average speed of 17 km per hour.  Please register with Alan, as team members need to be entered by the Team Coordinator.

The course map is now available at:  http://coot-tha.bq.org.au/ride-info/course-map/
