First anniversary - Parkinson’s Pedallers Ride

posted Oct 21, 2013, 4:25 AM by Dianne James
In October 2012, the very first Parkinson’s Pedallers Ride started at the home of Alan and Dianne James in Birkdale to the all-important coffee stop at Wellington Point and then returning to Birkdale. PP rides have been enjoyed each month since that first ride.

Therefore, it was fitting that the first anniversary ride replicated the inaugural ride. This time the ride included more distance along the excellent foreshore bikeway that is highly recommended.

There were eight on the ride with the youngest by a fair margin was my 9 year old granddaughter Annabel while the oldest could have been me.

There were five on the inaugural ride. Once again, coffee and cake was savoured at Wellington Point. Many thanks to Dianne and Alan for establishing Parkinson’s Pedallers; they are doing a sterling job.
