Update on Roy and Lynne's ride across USA

Roy and Lynne Roden of North Miami Beach, together with their two dogs, started their cross-country bike journey from Seattle to Miami on 3 November 2012.

What is so amazing about this ride is that Roy Roden was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease three years ago (despite displaying symptoms for over 25 years).  Roy, who is 54, plans to spread the word about clinical trials and share his experience with his most recent treatment, Deep Brain Stimulation.  Since his diagnosis, Roy has been extremely devoted to supporting those afflicted with PD and has been proactive in a variety of fundraising events.

This 4,000 mile journey across the United States via bicycle with their two dogs is an extraordinary effort to raise funds and awareness to those suffering from Parkinson's disease.

At the moment, Roy and Lynne are in Tucson, Arizona.  You can follow their journey on their facebook page and find out more about their ride and how to donate on their website.
